Opportunities for Studying at Chuo University

As Director of Chuo's International Center since 2009, it has been my pleasure to work with students from around the globe. In recent years the numbers of foreign students studying at Chuo have increased steadily and we now welcome hundreds of students each year; some stay with us for a semester or two while hundreds more receive undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Most overseas students study on the Tama Campus, which is located about 45 minutes from central Tokyo. Being in the suburbs, foreign students often spend more time on campus than they would if they were studying in downtown Tokyo. Because of this they tend to develop closer friendships with Japanese students and they often improve their Japanese language ability quite dramatically, even if they only study with us for one semester.
Come study with us: The International Center staff looks forward to welcoming you and we are all dedicated to supporting your study experience in Japan!
