International Symposium

In today’s society young professionals are faced with a great variety of situations that require a global perspective. With this in mind, Chuo University is committed to providing society with professionals who can respond to such diversity.

Chuo University has been granted Japanese Government Type A funding as part of the 2012 Project to Promote the Cultivation of Global Professionals (project period: maximum of 5 years), which entails university-wide implementation. This project is being carried out under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and applications were accepted from universities across Japan. Based on Chuo’s founding spirit of fostering young people who can put Knowledge into Action, the University’s Project to Support Globalization seeks to cultivate the abilities needed for achievement in our increasingly global society, beginning with undergraduate studies.

In collaboration with other universities, at this symposium we would like to define the types of global professionals that will be cultivated under the Project to Promote the Cultivation of Global Professionals. More specifically, our aim is to offer a clearer understanding of these types of global professionals using case studies from the field of global business.

Target Audience:
Human Affairs / Recruiters
This symposium will support recruiters, especially those with foreign operations.

High school guidance counselors:
This symposium will offer guidance counselors a clearer view of global professionals and a better sense of how to guide your students as they plan for their future.
