Masaru MIZUGUCHI

Message
  • Recently, I have been focusing on natural science topics, traditional areas within Coastal Engineering, such as the behavior of waves (wave groups and infragravity waves) and sand movements near the shoreline.
  • My policy in guiding students' research is "to leave it to their self-initiative as much as possible". However, I feel the necessity of training in basic academic skills (technical knowledge, logical thinking and proficiency in Japanese) also in the graduate school.
  • I would like students, when graduating, to have at least one thing in terms of research to be able to teach the teacher (me).
