The Second “Network for Education and Research” meeting

The “Network for Education and Research” is an organization for implementing the Program for Capacity Building in Global Water-Environmental Engineering through industrial-governmental-academic partnerships, and aims at managing the Program, developing educational curriculum, implementing internship and providing support in the advancement of the Program. Discussions at meetings are intended for reflection in the enhancement and advancement of the Program. The Network is composed of voluntary members in industrial, governmental and academic fields.

 

The second meeting held in July 2011 was attended by 27 members. Reports were made and opinions were exchanged on the (1) establishment of a scholarship program for overseas graduate students from designated universities, (2) response to universities requesting to participate in a consortium, (3) holding of research meetings with consortium universities and (4) implementation and evaluation of internship.
“Network for Education and Research” meetings will be held on a timely basis as the Program progresses.
