The First “Network for Education and Research” meeting

The “Network for Education and Research” is an organization for implementing the Program for Capacity Building in Global Water-Environmental Engineering through industrial-governmental-academic partnerships, and aims at managing the Program, developing educational curriculum, implementing internship and providing support in the advancement of the Program. Discussions at meetings are intended for reflection in the enhancement and advancement of the Program. The Network is composed of voluntary members in industrial, governmental and academic fields.

 

 The first meeting held in April 2011 was attended by 30 people.(1) A report was made on the “Symposium on Global Water Environmental Engineering Study in Beijing”. (2) The state of application for 2012 Overseas Students Special Admission on Recommendation was presented. (3) An approach to the promotion of future participation in the program and the increase of consortium universities was explained. (4) “Global water environment science and engineering minor” curriculum for academic year 2011 was presented. (5) The implementation of internship for academic year 2011 was explained. (6) The holding of a collaborative symposium with Sun Yat-sen University was explained. (7) Explanations were made about the “annual action plan for the program” for academic year 2011.
