Keishin Yoshida, class of 2009 and graduate of Chuo University Faculty of Law, was selected to compete in the Men’s Cross Country Relay Race (4 x 10km) at the Sochi Winter Olympics. Yoshida may also compete in the individual race depending on the results at the World Championships held in February.
Yoshida, originally from Hokkaido, joined the Cold Weather Combat Training Unit of the Self-Defense Forces in Sapporo after graduating from Chuo University Faculty of Law in 2009. Yoshida won first place at the Men’s 10km Classical and Men’s 15km Free race at the 2011 Asian Winter Games.
Yoshida’s coach, Shiro Sato, is also a Chuo graduate (class of 1977, Faculty of Letters). Sato is the head coach of the Chuo University Ski Team.
