Student wins the senior men 4km

On February 10th (Sun.), the 48th Chiba International Cross Country was held at Show-no-Mori Park in Chiba City. Kazuki Miyake (1st-year student in the Faculty of Law) won the senior men 4km, a race which includes many adult runners sponsored by corporations. In addition to Kazuki, Ryosuke Oie and Hirofumi Ueno participated in the senior men 4km, with Hiroki Sugawa and Shota Shinjo running in the senior men 12km. All of Chuo’s runners from the men’s team finished in the top 20. Runners from the women’s team also gave a strong performance.

 Many runners from the Men’s Track & Field Team (Long-Distance) will participate in the 2013 Tachikawa City Half Marathon which will be held on March 3rd (Sun.). The half marathon will cover the airstrip at the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Tachikawa Station, Showa Kinen Park and the peripheral course, which are also included in the qualifying course for the Hakone Ekiden.
