2018.04.24
On March 27, 2018, Chief Executive Regent Masahiko Omura, President Shozaburo Sakai, and Executive Regent Masakazu Ohashi, along with Dean Satoshi Hoshino, Vice Dean Hitoshi Ushijima, and Professor Li Tingjiang of the Faculty of Law, visited Tsinghua University in China. There they held a meeting with Dr. Yong Qiu, President of Tsinghua University, and Dr. Jinliang Li, Dean of the Office for International Cooperation and Exchange, Tsinghua University.

Chuo University has been actively promoting the exchange of students and researchers with Tsinghua University since 2003, when a partnership agreement was signed between the two institutions. The meeting focused on further developing relations between the universities through enhancing academic and student exchanges, so as to respond to issues emerging in a rapidly changing Asian society. The meeting was followed by a friendly gathering attended by a graduate of Chuo’s Faculty of Science and Engineering and a 3rd year exchange student from Chuo’s Faculty of Economics, both of whom are currently studying at Tsinghua University.

As one of the world’s premier educational and research institutions, Tsinghua University is a vital partner for Chuo. There are tremendous hopes that the relationship between the two universities will continue to thrive and develop.
