Research on Sustainable gWater-human Enviromenth Based on Water Global Circulation



In urban areas, the rainwater infiltration capacity and water retention capacity of the ground have declined, which led to the issues such as damages due to frequent flood, water pollution due to sewage discharge at the time of flood and deterioration of regional ecosystems due to depletion of spring water and decrease of river flow during fine weather. This research aims to regenerate the water circulation system supporting a sustainable city, using the prediction model of the water circulation system " atmosphere-ocean surface-groundwater system coupled model", targeting at the Kanda River basin. We will evaluate the scenario of regeneration of the river basin environment and develop the technologies relating to regeneration or prediction of river basin environment such as improvement of regional ecosystem by regeneration of water circulation system.
