On June 2, 2016, 54 judges from judicial courts in Thailand visited Chuo’s Ichigaya Campus and attended Chuo Law School Professor Masahiko Ohmura’s lecture.
The judges were in Japan as a part of an international training program, and the visit to Chuo was planned in relation to the agreement signed between Chuo and Office of the Judiciary of Thailand.

After a welcoming speech, Professor Ohmura introduced the exchange activities between Chuo’s partner school, Thammasat University, and mentioned the strong relationship with Thammasat. Following the introduction, Professor Ohmura gave a lecture on Japan’s civil proceedings using examples of historical cases. The program ended with a Q&A session where many participants actively shared their opinion on the differences of law between the two countries.
